Welcome to Hack the North, the Canada's Largest International Hackathon! We hope you're as excited as we are for an awesome weekend! After the Friday night kickoff, all teams are allowed to begin working on their apps. Once your app is complete, we ask that you produce a video demo of your app and post it on Youtube or Vimeo. You can then submit your app and accompanying video using the above Submissions tab (which will appear after you hit the Register button). All submissions must be in by 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning.

Eligibility

- Teams can have a maximum of 4 members (all members must be physically present at Hack The North)

Requirements

- Platforms (iOS, Android, Web / Mobile Web, Mac, Windows, hardware hacks)

- Must include both submission and video demo

- Must select which sponsorship prizes you are going for

Parrot AR Drones 2.0 Elite Edition will be given to each team member of the winning team using our API.

Leap Motion API

Oculus DK2s for the winners (about 4), LM VR Mounts, Leap Motion Controllers (this will be given from the MLH's hardware lab).

Thiel Foundation

The most impressive hack by a rookie team or team with all 4 members under the age of 20 will receive an oculus DK1 for each team member, and a paid hotel and flights trip to the winning team for the event a trip to the next Thiel summit in California

Apple Prize

iPad minis for each member of the team that makes the best iOS App.

Microsoft Azure

The team with the most innovative solution using Microsoft Azure will take home four Dell Venue Series 9 Windows tablets.

Best Pebble Hack

The best pebble hack will win you Pebble Steels for each team member on your team.

Wit.ai API

Each winning team member will receive a new Pebble Steel Smartwatch for best overall use of the Wit.ai API [utility, originality, UX].

Best Myo Hack

The best Myo hack will win a Thalmic Myo for each of their team members.

Moxtra API

Presented by Moxtra to the team with the most creative communication and collaboration hack.

Sendgrid API

Best hack to use the sendgrid API will receive a jambox for each of the team members

Unity API

The best hack using Unity will be receiving a Unity Pro license (offered by Unity3D) and also a video game of their choice (offered by Hack the North).

Uber API (2)

$200 in Uber credit for each team member.

Ziggeo API

The best hack to use Ziggeo's video APi will win the team $300 in Amazon gift card credits and a GoPro

Backtrack API

Sennheiser CX175 noise-blocking headphones and Beaglebones.

Pagerduty API

CODE keyboards for the winning team to best use our API in their hack.

Yelp API

Best hack that helps people find awesome businesses in their area will get four leap motion controllers.

Best Muse Hack

Best use of the Muse headband will receive a Muse for each of their team member
